The design of StandardPlaza has been entrusted to Prof. Dr. Vladimir Lojanica from Belgrade.
StandardPlaza, a project currently under development, introduces one of its defining segments: the concert hall “Cvijeta Stevanović” — a space where music finds its rightful place.
As part of the development of StandardPlaza as a multifunctional business and cultural center, a special role is reserved for the concert hall “Cvijeta Stevanović.” It is conceived as an intimate yet technically exceptional venue with a capacity of 150 seats. Rather than serving as a secondary feature within a commercial building, the hall is envisioned as a core element of identity—a space where art, business, and the social life of the city intersect, consciously dissolving the boundaries between culture and modern enterprise.
The hall is shaped by the idea that “every note leaves a trace,” giving music a dignified and authentic place within the urban environment. For this reason, the approach to its design and equipment exceeds the standards typical of regional concert spaces of similar size. The acoustic design will be entrusted to a team of experts from the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad, one of the region’s leading institutions in electroacoustics and sound engineering. This decision reflects a clear commitment: there will be no compromise between architecture and sound—both will be developed as a unified and harmonized whole.
The acoustic concept is based on precise control of reflection, absorption, and diffusion of sound, aiming to achieve the perfect balance between clarity and warmth of tone. Every material, angle, and surface—from wooden wall panels to ceiling geometry—will be carefully analyzed to create a natural acoustic environment that does not rely on technological correction but inherently delivers a superior musical experience. This approach aligns with the world’s most renowned chamber halls and represents a significant advancement over local practices.
At the heart of the hall will be a top-tier concert instrument: the Steinway Model D-274 Spirio | r, a benchmark in the world of classical music. Known as the “concert grand,” this model is used on the world’s most prestigious stages. The Spirio | r technology adds another dimension—enabling precise playback and recording of performances with the highest level of artistic fidelity. In this way, the hall gains not just an instrument, but a technological platform for global connectivity, education, and the preservation of exceptional performances.
Architecturally, the hall is conceived as a warm and elegant space, dominated by natural materials and subtle lighting that enhances its intimacy. The seating layout is designed to ensure optimal visual and acoustic connection between performers and the audience, regardless of position. This sense of proximity is essential for chamber music, as well as for business and social events that will take place in the venue.
The concert hall “Cvijeta Stevanović” will stand as a symbol of gathering—not only artistic, but also intellectual, business, and social. Within the broader concept of StandardPlaza, it represents a continuation of the idea of a “building with a soul,” where each component carries both function and emotion. In this sense, the hall is not an isolated project, but an integral part of a larger ecosystem that offers more than workspace—it provides a platform for inspiration, connection, and value creation.
Ultimately, it is the attention to detail—from acoustics and instrument selection to architectural refinement—that will define this hall as a regional benchmark. At a time when many developments settle for functionality, StandardPlaza goes a step further: creating a space where quality is not measured by minimum standards, but by excellence.
