Former Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Biljana Simeunović, is continuing her career with the “Standard Prva” Group from Bijeljina, where she has been engaged as a legal advisor since this month.

The group stated that Simeunović will use her extensive experience in the judiciary, legal practice, and public administration to support the development of the StandardPrva business system, its clients, and strategic projects in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the wider region.

Biljana Simeunović was born in 1960 in Bijeljina. She graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Sarajevo in 1987 and passed the bar exam in 1990.

Over more than four decades of professional work, she has built an outstanding career in the judiciary, legal practice, public administration, and the prosecutorial system of Bosnia and Herzegovina. She began her professional career in the business sector in 1984. From 1988 to 1996, she served as a trainee, professional associate, and judge at the Basic Court in Bijeljina.

From 1996 to 2001, she successfully practiced law in Bijeljina, providing legal assistance to citizens and business entities across a wide range of legal fields. Between 2001 and 2003, she served as Secretary of the Government of Republika Srpska, gaining valuable experience in the work of the highest executive authorities. She was a member of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council (HJPC) from 2008 to 2012. She also served as Vice-President of the HJPC before resigning in 2023.

She was appointed Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina on December 1, 2003. During her long-standing service, she participated in managing and supervising numerous complex cases of significance to the legal system of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Her professional expertise and integrity were further recognized through her election in 2008 as a member of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina, representing the prosecutors of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
